# 🕘 History

History keeps track of music you have previously used with the Boombox.

Unlike the active Queue, History is associated with you and can remain available between sessions.

### Using History

Open the **History** tab to browse previously used music.

From History you can quickly reuse tracks without finding and pasting the original URL again.

Available actions may include:

* Replay a track
* Add a track to the Queue
* Add a track to a Playlist
* Copy the stored URL
* Remove an entry

### Searching History

Use the available History tools to find previously used music more quickly as your library grows.

### Persistent History

History is stored by the server and associated with your persistent identifier.

This allows your History to remain available after reconnecting.

### Clearing History

History can be cleared when you no longer want to retain the stored entries.

Clearing stored History is intended to permanently remove those History entries. Music saved separately inside a Playlist is not the same as History.
