# 🎶 Playlists

Playlists let you build and save your own music collections directly inside the iKCScripts Boombox.

Unlike the Queue, playlists are stored for you and remain available after reconnecting or restarting the server.

### Creating a Playlist

Open the Boombox and select:

**Playlists → Create Playlist**

Enter a name for your new playlist and confirm.

Examples:

* R\&B
* Rock
* Throwbacks
* Party Music
* Late Night

Your new playlist will immediately appear under the **Playlists** tab.

### Adding Music

Songs can be added to a playlist from several places in the Boombox interface.

You can add music from:

* The URL player
* The currently playing song
* Queue
* History

Select **Add to Playlist**, then choose the playlist where you want the song stored.

### Managing a Playlist

Open a playlist to view its saved tracks.

From there you can:

* Play a song immediately
* Add a song to the Queue
* Remove a song
* Reorder songs
* Play the entire playlist
* Add the entire playlist to the Queue
* Rename the playlist
* Delete the playlist
* Share the playlist

{% hint style="info" %}
Changing a playlist does not affect your current Queue unless you specifically choose to play or queue music from it.
{% endhint %}

### Sharing Playlists

Playlists can be shared with another nearby citizen.

Select **Share** from the playlist you want to send and choose an available nearby citizen.

The recipient can:

**Accept** or **Decline** the playlist.

When accepted, a separate copy is added to their own playlist library.

{% hint style="success" %}
Shared playlists are independent copies. If the original owner later edits or deletes their playlist, the recipient's accepted copy is not affected.
{% endhint %}

### Playlist Storage

Playlists are stored by the server and associated with your persistent FiveM identifier rather than your temporary server ID.

This allows your playlists to remain available between sessions.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Playlist persistence depends on the server keeping the iKCScripts Boombox data files intact. Server owners should not delete or reset these files unless they intentionally want to clear stored playlist data.
{% endhint %}
