# 🔊 Positional Audio

iKCScripts Boombox uses synchronized positional audio so music behaves like it is actually coming from the physical Boombox.

### Distance-Based Audio

Music is played from the Boombox's world position.

As you move away:

* Audio becomes quieter
* Distance fading occurs naturally
* Audio becomes inaudible outside the configured range

The listening distance can be adjusted in the resource configuration.

### Synchronized Playback

Nearby citizens hear the same active playback rather than independent local copies.

Citizens entering the area after a song has already started are synchronized to the appropriate playback position.

### Moving Between Boomboxes

Each Boombox has its own playback session.

Multiple Boomboxes can exist independently without requiring the interface to select the nearest one automatically.

### Pickup and Removal

When a Boombox is successfully picked up or removed, its active audio session is stopped.

### Server Restarts

Physical Boombox placement can persist across server restarts.

Active music playback is not required to automatically resume after a complete restart.

For the best experience, choose an audio distance appropriate for the size and density of the areas where Boomboxes will normally be used.
