# ✅  Requirements

Before installing iKCScripts Boombox, make sure your server meets the requirements below.

Boombox is designed to support multiple framework, inventory, and interaction configurations.

### Core Dependencies

The following resources are required:

#### ox\_lib

Used for shared resource functionality and the default TextUI interaction system.

#### xSound

Handles synchronized positional music playback and distance-based audio.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Both **ox\_lib** and **xSound** must be installed and started before `kc_boombox`.
{% endhint %}

### Inventory Integration

Configure **one** supported inventory setup.

#### ox\_inventory

Supported for OX-based inventory servers.

#### qb-inventory

Supported through QBCore integration.

Your server must also have the required QBCore resource available for usable-item registration and inventory functionality.

#### ESX Inventory

Supported through ESX for servers using the standard ESX inventory system.

Your server must have `es_extended` available.

{% hint style="info" %}
You only need the inventory integration used by your server. `ox_inventory` is not required when Boombox is configured for QBCore or ESX inventory.
{% endhint %}

### Interaction System

Boombox supports multiple interaction methods.

Configure **one** of the following:

#### ox\_lib TextUI

The default lightweight interaction option.

No separate target resource is required.

Nearby citizens receive prompts such as:

**\[E] Open Boombox**

Owners also receive:

**\[E] Open Boombox • \[G] Pick Up**

#### ox\_target

Optional exact-entity targeting through `ox_target`.

#### qb-target

Optional target integration for servers using `qb-target`.

{% hint style="info" %}
A target resource is optional when using the ox\_lib TextUI interaction mode.
{% endhint %}

### OneSync

Your FiveM server must have **OneSync** available.

Boombox uses server-authoritative networked entities so placed Boomboxes can remain synchronized and persist correctly.

### Resource Start Order

Make sure the required resources start before Boombox.

A typical setup is:

```
ensure ox_lib
ensure xsound
# Start your framework/inventory/target resources as required by your server.
ensure kc_boombox
```

The exact order of your framework and inventory resources depends on your server configuration.
